The earliest coins in the world were used in China more than 3,000 years ago. Coins maybe have different sizes, weights, shapes and different metals. Usually, they have different designs on the two sides. There is usually the head of famous person on one side. Today, the coin is pressed with the name of the country, the date and its value. In the past, many things could be used for money, such as seashells, rings,bamboo sticks and so on. The earliest coins in the west were made of gold mixed with silver. Many collections of coins have beendiscovered. The largest collection found in England contained about 200,000 silver pennies that was 600 yearsold.
硬币在中国有了3000年的历史。硬币可能有不同的尺寸，重量，形状和不同的金属。通常情况下，硬币正反有着不同的设计，名人的头通常是在一边。如今，硬币压印着该国的名称，日期和它的币值。在过去，很多东西可以代替钱，如贝壳，戒指，竹，棍棒等等。在西方最早的硬币是用金银混合而成，许多收藏的硬币被发崛，在英国发现最大的收藏中含有20万的银便士已有600年的历史。
