Protesters Demand the Return of Bronze Artworks
In Hong Kong, protesters gathered outside the French Consulate, demanding the return of looted Chinese bronze artworks.
Gary Chan Hak-kan, a Hong Kong legislator, was among the protesters.
"All the looted cultural relics should be returned to the country where they belong, unconditionally. This is the spirit of international law. The act by the French government to allow the auction company to auction these looted cultural relics goes against a United Nations convention. This is completely unacceptable."
The protesters also signed a petition, which they gave to a representative from the consulate.
