The Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony getting backlash from viewers and companies in Mississippi

Mississippians responded to the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. The ceremony not only received backlash from viewers but also from local companies such as C Spire. The technology company took to social media to announce that it is pulling its advertising from the Olympics because it feels that the sporting event makes a mockery of the Last Supper.

"I think it's a great idea," said a man in Jackson who did not want to be identified. Some believe a portion of the Olympic opening was emulating the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion.
