Hooded and bound, five suspects arrested on Tuesday joined three men detained earlier, all accused of the gang rape of a Spanish woman in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand.

On Tuesday, Fernanda posted a written message to Instagram welcoming the arrests and thanking all those who supported her and her husband.

She wrote, "Everything has gone very quickly, the police have been tremendously efficient.
