A 4-year-old girl's parents went to a police station in Lingang of Pudong New Area at 6:40 pm on Wednesday, saying their daughter went missing while playing on the beach.

According to the father, the family went to the beach, and he took the girl, surnamed Huang, to play on the sand, about 20 meters away from the water.

Then he went to get his phone, leaving the girl on the beach for a little more than 10 minutes.
