Yes, you said it, Alien Brad. Let's continue with our discussions. Last time we talked about aliens in the basic concept of aliens and how we can possibly spot aliens. This time shall we start with real life stories about ordinary people having alien encounters?

Sure, like alien abductions, is one of the things you'll find a lot in the and what people are talking about when it comes to aliens.

When you say alien abductions, it's people who believe that they have been taken by aliens. Right?

There's a lot of people, especially in smaller towns in the US that have claimed that aliens have taken them. There was actually an interesting story about someone who was kidnapped by an alien or actually abducted by an alien. It was several men up in the mountains, one of their friends, he went missing for about a decade. The four men said that their friend was taken by a light in the sky. No one in the town believe them. Everyone thought they accidentally murdered their friend and tried to hide it.

Yeah, it doesn't sound credible at all, for 10 years?

Right. And then 10 years later, the man miraculously showed back up like nothing had happened to him. But he said that he didn't really remember what happened in the past 10 years. And then he started having visions or he started remembering what had happened. And he said that aliens had abducted him.

But for what?

Scientific experiments?

Experiments, and then they just let him go.

Yeah.

To me, I wouldn't really believe in it, but when you say people believe they have been abducted. So there are multiple cases, obviously, of people claiming that they have been abducted.

Yeah, there's a prevailing story that goes on in a lot of the abduction stories. Mostly the people talk about these really tall grey aliens with large black eyes.

I know the type you're talking about, the grey and the really, really thin.

Right. People refer to them as the alien greys. This is one of the most prevalent ideas when people talk about aliens and being abducted. There are more…there's some stories about like reptilian looking aliens. There's actually a theory that reptilian aliens are in control of the world's governments.

That sounds like a conspiracy theory. So reptilian aliens are controlling the world's government and alien greys, the grey aliens, they're abducting humans for experiments. Alright, so back to the abductions, and these people these stories, are they connected in any way? Do these people talk to one another and share their stories?

A lot of people think the reason why their stories are so similar is either from the way that they like that has something to do with the psychology behind it. Or it might just be that they're meeting together and talking. And there are a lot of conventions in the US where people come together and say, talk about their alien abduction stories. So there... it's been so much in the public eye, especially in like the eighties and nineties that almost everyone knows exactly what happens.

They have conventions just for people who have had the experience of being abducted by aliens or believe that they have been.

Yeah, I don't know if that's so much as popular nowadays, but it was really popular in the past. So it may or may not be something that people actually do nowadays.

Let's talk about some of the, let's say, alien spotting sites or sites that are related to alien encounter. I've constantly hear area 51. That seems to be one of the major spots. What's that about? Area 51.

Area 51,it's a military base in New Mexico. And basically what had happened was in the late forties, there was a crash. Now the military says it was a weather balloon, but a lot of people say it was an alien UFO that carried some of these alien greys. And some people say that there's lots of stories about the materials that came from the spaceships and things like that where if you cut the material, it would automatically fuse back together,like it was some sort of smart material.

So things that human technology cannot yet explain, cannot yet achieve. And there were also rumors about I think that the military are doing some sort of experiments on alien cadavers, like alien bodies and stuff. Is that also quite a popular rumor around area 51?

That was a very popular rumor because a lot of people think that the military tried to cover it up that they abducted the aliens themselves and kept the aliens at the area 51 site. If you watch the movie Independence Day, they go to area 51 and they actually have an alien there in the movie. So that's talking about like the actual connection to the historical event where so called weather balloon did crash.

But one thing though, since we were talking about all these rumors, conspiracy theory, I was wondering, what's the general attitude of the American public, like average Americans, what are their attitude when it comes to the existence of alien species? Do they generally believe there's a possibility that alien life forms exist? Or not?

Most people in the US would say that there are aliens out there, maybe not aliens that have come to our planet and abducted people or anything like that. But a lot of people believe in the existence of aliens, and they think that they're somewhere out there.

But there are no real like really scientifically documented evidence. Right? Everyone think it's really highly possible that they exist, but why haven't we spotted them?

There's a few different theories, and especially the Fermi Paradox.

I've heard about Fermi Paradox, even though I'm not hugely familiar with these, with this field. But the Fermi Paradox is the paradox, it's very possible that there are life forms out there, but we haven't seen them. Why do you think we haven't seen them? Are there any theories that explain the paradox?

Basically, that one of the main theories is that most civilizations are at war with each other at some point and their existence. But a lot of people think that those civilizations probably go extinct due to this war. If you look at earth, a lot of the different countries of earth are at war with each other at one point or another, and it where we may kill ourselves. And through war, there maybe extinction events like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. So it's quite possible that there's different factors that basically kill off any life forms before they can attain interstellar travel.

That's really grim. That's... to think about that not just in our lifetime, but the entire existence of human beings. We would never be able to really explore interstellar travels and try to contact other life forms simply because we will have eradicated ourselves by then, we would have destroyed ourselves by then.

Yeah, it's quite possible.

We'll go extinct before that happens. But there's one other theory. I don't know if you've heard of this. It's called the dark forest theory.

I haven't heard of that theory before.

It's very much laid out in a very, very popular Chinese si-fi writer called Liu Cixin. He's won loads of awards. And he wrote this book called The Dark Forest, which I think makes a lot of sense. It says that the entire Galaxy or galaxies universe is like a dark forest. And then there are many life forms, but every life form is trying to stay alive, trying to stay safe. But they don't really know if other life forms, other alien life forms are hostile or friendly. They're probably all presume to be hostile. But if you're the one who initiates the contact, then you're likely to be eradicated, to be killed and destroyed by the other species. That's why even though you have this entire universe, like a dark forest filled with life forms, but no species will try to initiate contact. What do you think of that?

I think that's quite true. We've made a few missteps by trying to send out signals to other galaxies if that is exactly the case. We've sent out like space probes that basically give information about our civilization and our planet. Like we constantly use the settee array to send signals out to other galaxies, to try to initiate contact. So where we're breaking this law ourself, but it's very possible that a lot of galaxies...

We will be eradicated?

It's possible that could lead to our own eradication. But it's quite possible that we may never hear from the other alien species because they may be afraid.

Yeah, that all depends on whether they are more developed than us or less developed than us. But early on, you were also saying something about asteroids? How is that related to alien life form?

One of the things scientists have noticed is a lot of asteroids are carrying around medals. But not just medals, they're also carrying around some of these building blocks for life. Some of the proteins that like life needs to survive or live. And there's a theory that maybe the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, carried some of those proteins that led to our creation, or maybe even there's lots of planets out there that have been kind of seeded with the building blocks of life using asteroids.

So you’re saying asteroids are almost like a spaceship in a way that carries life form to other planets?

It's quite possible. That's also quite possible that an alien life form has put the building blocks on the asteroid with the intent of seeding life on two different planets.

So there's a possibility that we could have been from that seeding from the asteroids that hit earth before. Very interesting. So, Brad, let me ask you, what do you think about us in relation to alien species if they are alien species? In their eyes are we like more developed? less developed?

I think if the alien species is developed enough to know that we're here, they're probably much more advanced than us. And they probably kind of think of our planet as more like a zoo. They probably maybe study us in some way without us knowing.

If you think about it, we probably are just a reality TV show for them.

It could be.

They put us on this planet and try to get us in all sorts of scenarios and see how we respond. And we're living alive. That's actually already scripted in a way.

And then if you think about it, all the people who have been abducted, they may have just been messing with those people and trying to just play a joke on the rest of us.

It's really one of those things that you really shouldn't stare into the darkness, because you don't really know what's hiding there. I don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight, but thank you, Brad.
