The film follows the friendship of three students, Rancho, Farhan, and Raju at an Indian engineering college. It is a satire about the social pressures under an Indian education system, which is quite similar to the Chinese one as well.

Life is a race. If you don't run fast, you'll get trampled.

He says that life begins with murder, if you don't compete, you will die, even to be born, we had to race 300 million sperm.

But with his highly stressful education concept, one of the most talented students at the college has committed to suicide simply because he failed to pass the final exam.

These engineers are very smart, sir, they didn't invent a machine which can measure the pressure on the brain. If they had, we would have come to know that this was not a suicide but a Murder.

It is true that most people need a diploma to get a job, to have a good life. But only a diploma is not enough. It is not the diploma that matters, but the learning journey.
