John:Yeah. You got the idea. We need new members.

Have you got the answer? It is “You got the idea.” It’s similar to saying “You know what I said.” The Chinese for it is—— “你知道是那什么意思了吧。” or “你理解了吧。”

Here’s an another mini situational dialogue, let’s take a look at:

(Scene:It happens between two close co-workers who are talking about health.)

Rose:I need to have a nice vacation this year.

Richard:Yeah. You got the idea. It’s refreshing to get away for a while.

Tip 1: “Refreshing” means “ making you feel less tired ”. For example:

The breeze was cool and refreshing.

Tip 2: “To get away” means “to leave something or somewhere”. For example:

I need to get away and rest up a little.
