这座建筑在十年前其设计之日问世起就引起大量关注。
Anyone who has been to Beijing has seen the futuristic building with two leaning towers linked with a 90-degree twist at the top. The building has attracted much attention since the day its design debuted a decade ago. Now, it is ready to house China's state TV broadcaster, China Central Television, who will use the building as its new headquarters.
With numerous offices, studios, and broadcasting and production rooms, the new CCTV Headquarters finally unveiled itself after eight years of construction. Nestled amid a cluster of skyscrapers in the city's central business district, CCTV Headquarters has two leg-like structures that lean toward each other. Its bold design has earned the nickname of "big boxer shorts" from local residents. CCTV Headquarters will soon begin to broadcast, and be ready for the 2012 London Olympics which opens in July.
