A woman who deposited 'Hell Money' to the value of 9,100 US dollars into a bank in southwest China's Sichuan Province and then withdrew real money from an ATM machine has been questioned by the police.

It's understood that the bank clerk didn't check the notes carefully enough before accepting them and the problem wasn't spotted until the bank warehoused the cash at night, and took a closer look at the foreign currencies it had received during the day.

The bank called the police who caught up with the suspects, who said they'd received the fake money from a man surnamed Li, who had committed a similar fraud.
