169.停车场
When Mark came out of the parking lot he was furious!
马克从停车场出来的时候勃然大怒！
A parking meter had stolen his money and then he had been given a parking ticket as a fine!
不仅汽车停放计时器让他多交钱, 而且还罚了他一张违章停车传票！
As he ran the whole thing over and over in his head
当他在脑子里一再回忆整件事情的经过时，
he knew that all he wanted to do was painting in glowing colors the word OVER PRICED at the entrance of the parking lot!
他知道他所有想做的事是在停车场门口好好写上几个字：标价过高！
He was sure it was a scam for them to make more money! He had to warn others!
他敢肯定这是他们多赚钱的阴谋！他得提醒其他人！
This incident pushed Mark over the edge
这件事使马克发狂，
and over the course of the next few hours he overstepped the mark for how a reasonable person should respond!
在接下来的几个小时的时间里，他的反应超过了一个理智的人应该有的限度！
Owing to his anger Mark went home and took out a bucket of pale yellow paint that he had packed away recently.
由于气愤，马克回家拿了一桶浅黄色的漆，最近他刚把这桶漆收起来。
Then he returned to the parking lot and began to paint the word OVER PRICED on the walls.
然后回到停车场开始在墙上漆“标价过高”几个字。
He even used another man's name as paper over the cracks on the floor!
他甚至在地上用别人的名字草串地掩饰错误！
When the parking lot attendant saw Mark he knew that this was over his head.
停车场管理员发现了马克，他知道这件事因为太高深而超过了他的理解力。
He called the police and they came to arrest Mark!
他报了警，瞀察过来要抓马克！
When Mark saw them coming he packed up his paint and started to walk away.
看到警察过来，马克收拾起油漆准备溜掉。
The policeman told him to stop. Mark didn't. The policeman yelled again.
警察让他站住。马克没有理踩。警察又朝他喊。
This time Mark turned around slowly. The policeman shot him!
这次马克才慢慢转过身来。警察朝他开枪了！
As Mark stood there, as pale as death,
马克脸色惨白地站在那里，
he held up in his hand what the policeman had thought was a gun. It was his paintbrush.
手里捏着一个东西，警察以为是枪。原来是他的漆刷！
Then Mark fell to the ground dead!
接着马克就倒地死了！
