Dr.Vladio thought the only solution was to emigrate from his homeland.
弗拉迪奥博士认为唯一的办法是从祖国移居国外。
Articles in the editorial section had criticized his work as being inhuman, and the government was sure to encroach on his research because of it.
报纸上的社论版文章批评他的工作不人道，而政府肯定会因此而侵占他的研究成果。
He had to leave. And fast!
他必须离开，而且赶快离开！
His departure was hurried. He took only his most valued belongings and emptied them into a chest.

When he emerged from his home to leave, however, journalists and reporters flocked to talk to him, encasing him in bodies.

Arriving at the airport Dr.Vladio found that he was eligible for cheaper airfares because of his age.

He wasn't effective in communicating that, however, and his argument with the ticket agent ended in Dr.Vladio'still paying full price.

What were these people employed for, Dr.Vladio told himself, other than to get all the money they could from passengers?

Finally embedding himself in the chair in the plane, Dr.Vladio breathed a sigh of relief.

The tension that had been emanating from him fell away.

Hours later, when an announcement was made that their airborne plane would have to make an emergency landing, Dr.Vladio was empty of all emotion!

This couldn't be good!

When the police entered the plane after it had landed, Dr.Vladio gave up.
飞机着陆之后警察进来了，弗拉迪奥博士投降了。
They were looking for him and there was no way he could escape.
他们一直在找他，他无路可逃。
Too many people had read about his research and now there would be an investigation!
从报纸上知道他的研究的人太多了，现在他们要展开调查！
