回族的风俗
The Hui ethnic group is one of China's largest ethnic groups. The Hui people take Chinese as their common language and wear very similar clothing with Hans. Their distinctive headgear is the main difference. Hui men traditionally wear a white skullcap and the women often wear a veil, keeping their faces covered.
回族是中国最大的少数民族之一。回族人把中文作为他们共同的语言,穿着与汉族非常相似。其独特的头饰是主要区别。回族传统男人戴白色无边冒和女性通常戴面纱,遮住她们的脸。
The religion of the Huis is Islam. Moslems pray and hold religion activities in a mosque. The mosque is also a symbol of Hui architecture. The Hui eat rice and wheat as staples,along with beef,mutton,chicken,fish and various vegetables. Other types of meat such as horse, donkey, mule, dog and other ferocious birds and animals,as well as animals,which have died,are forbidden. Pork is especially forbidden.
