Street vendors prepare bouquets along Nanjing Road for the Qixi Festival, or the Chinese Valentine’s Day, which falls today. Many flower vendors are reporting brisk sales. Stores said they started preparing inventory two weeks ago, and flower prices generally are double what they were a few days prior to Qixi. Some online stores stopped accepting orders because of huge demand.
