北京时间2月28日下午5点，国际体育仲裁法庭宣布了此前世界反兴奋剂机构诉中国游泳运动员孙杨和国际泳联一案的仲裁结果，从今天开始孙杨将被禁赛8年。刚刚，孙杨通过微博发声，回应遭禁赛8年一事：我一直坚信自己的清白。

BEIJING — Chinese swimmer Sun Yang said he will "definitely" appeal to the Swiss Federal Tribunal against the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) decision to ban him for eight years.

北京消息：中国游泳运动员孙杨表示，一定会就国际体育仲裁法庭给予其禁赛8年的决定向瑞士联邦法庭提起上诉。

孙杨在接受新华社采访时表示：“这不公平（unfair）。我坚信我的清白（I firmly believe in my innocence），我绝对让更多的人知道真相（I will definitely appeal to let more people know the truth.）。”
国际体育仲裁法庭（Court of Arbitration for Sport，简称CAS）支持世界反兴奋剂机构（World Anti-Doping Agency，简称WADA）的上诉，认定2018年9月孙杨在其家中拒绝配合药物样本采集员（drug sample collectors）。
在国际泳联（Federation International Nation Assosiation，简称FINA）裁定在孙杨家中进行的兴奋剂样本采集（doping sample collection）无效（invalid），之后，世界反兴奋剂机构向国际体育仲裁法庭提起上诉。
国际体育仲裁法庭的裁决书表示，孙杨被禁赛八年（Mr Sun Yang is sanctioned with an 8 year period of ineligibility），即日起生效（commencing on the date of the present arbitral award）。
在国际泳联裁决孙杨不存在兴奋剂违规行为（not guilty of anti-doping violations）之后，世界反兴奋剂机构提出上诉，国际体育仲裁法庭于2019年11月举行了公开听证会（public hearing），这是国际体育仲裁法庭20年来第二次就运动员诉案举行公开听证会。
但因翻译不准确（poor translation），国际体育仲裁法庭要求双方再度提供笔录（submit written transcript of proceedings）。
仲裁听证会起因于2018年9月4日针对孙杨的一次赛外兴奋剂检查（doping test），由于孙杨对执行检查的IDTM公司检查人员出示的资质证明存疑，认为其缺乏足够的授权和证明（lacked sufficient authorization and credentials），该次检查最终未能完成。
