Russia closes four McDonald's in Moscow

Getting a Big Mac in Moscow is about to get a lot harder. Russia's food safety watchdog has temporarily shut down four McDonald's in Moscow for what they say are sanitary violations. The closures come amid worsening ties between U.S. and Russia over the ongoing situation in Ukraine. The move prompting some to wonder if it's politically motivated.

SOUNDBITE: (Russian) MCDONALD'S CUSTOMER, IVAN, SAYING: "They occasionally kick us with different sanctions. Why cannot we do something in return? Moreover, McDonald's is such a symbol of everything Western, I think it is a good symbolic step that shows that we have some teeth."

One of the McDonald's affected by the closures is the first one to have opened in Russia. The company says its the most frequented McDonald's in the world, and they're hoping to get back to business as soon as possible.

Hungary unearths its largest ever truffle

They can cost more than to $250 U.S. dollars per pound, but chef Fausto Di Vora of Fausto's restaurant in Budapest, says you can't beat the taste of truffles.

And this whopping 1.28-kilogram or almost 3-pound truffle was recently unearthed - the largest of its kind found in Hungary to date. It was dug up in this forest where Istvan Bagi and his labrador, Mokka are searching for the coveted fungus."Truffleminers", the company Bagi jointly owns, rents 300 hectares of woodland where they hunt for truffles from mid-June until December.

In these woods, three to four truffle collectors work every day and they pick about four to six kilos [8 to 13 lbs] a day." And as most Hungarian truffles are exported, next time you savor the"diamond of the kitchen" it might just be one found by Bagi.

Surveillance video captures plane crash that killed Brazilian presidential hopeful

Surveillance video captures the moment a plane carrying prominent Brazilian presidential hopeful Eduardo Campos crashes and bursts into flames. The plane carrying Campos and his entourage crashed on August 13. All seven people on board were killed. Campos, the Brazilian Socialist Party leader, was running third in the polls as Brazil's presidential campaign was beginning to gain momentum. His death prompted Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to cancel her campaign for three days to mourn his death. Tens of thousands turned out for his funeral in the city of Recife. Officials blame the crash on poor weather, although the plane had electrical problems in the past.
