1.3 Dear Grandma,
Thanks for your letter.
Do you remember that I told you
about the new community center?
Well,we are making a lot of progress.
We have already put nea locks on the doors
(that was the first thing we did),
but we haven't replaced the broken windows yet.
Do you also remember I told you the yard-
it was all dirty and messy?
Well.We have already cleaned up the yard.
It looks really nice now.
we have also repaired the roof,
which was in a bad state.
There are still some jobs to finish.
For example,we haven't painted the walls yet
and we haven't finished fixing the pipes yet.
So,as you can see,we are going to be very busy!
I hope you can come
and see the community center in the future.
