Exercise 2
Hi,everybody, and welcome back to
"The Problem Line"
where teenagers can call us
and talk about their problems.
Today,
we're talking about problems with parents.
Okay, it's time for another call.
Hello, who's calling?
Hello, My name's Danny.
Hi, Danny.
Welcome to "The Problem Line".
What's your problem?
Well, I'm having problems with my mom.
She always complains about me.
She says I'm not tidy enough.
And are you tidy, Danny?
Well, er...maybe, sometimes,
I guess.
But I think my mom is too strict.
What does your mom say?
She says that I'm too lazy to pick up my things
But that's no true.
If I don't do it, it's because I'm too busy.
Too busy? Doing what?
Well, I do lots of activities after school-
I play sports and I go to chess club,
things like that.
Also, I have lots of homework.
I explain this to my mom but she doesn't listen
She does not understand me.
I see.
And I tell her that
I'll pick up my things later,
but she doesn't believe me.
She's not trusting enough.
