A special Girl
一个特别的女孩
Jenny's class is very excited.
珍妮的同学们很兴奋。
The students are sitting in the gym waiting for their principal to arrive.
学生们都坐在体育场里等他们校长的到来。
She is going to give out a special award to Jenny's good friend, Anne.
她要给珍妮的好朋友安妮颁发一个特别的奖。
The whole class is very proud of this young girl.
全班都为这个小女孩感到自豪。
You see, although Anne has been in a wheelchair since she was eight years old,

Terry Fox was a special young man who decided one day to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.

He lost one leg to cancer when he was only 15 years old, but he worked hard trying to reach his goal.

Everyone was very proud of him.

He ran for more than 5 000 kilometres before he had to stop.

Now, every year, millions of people take part in a run to raise money in honour of what Terry Fox set out to do.

Even though Anne is in a wheelchair,
