Let's Go Fishing!
我们去钓鱼吧!
Jamie was a boy who did not have a hobby.
杰米是一个没有爱好的男孩。
He used to say that he was too busy or too young to have a hobby.
他经常说自己太忙或者太年轻来有个爱好。
He did not take part in any games with his friends.
他不参加朋友的任何活动。
Instead, he watched a lot of television and played too many computer games.
取而代之的是看电视和玩电脑游戏。
He didn't want to do anything else.
他不想做其它的事情。
One day his grandfather came to visit.
一天他的爷爷来看他。
His grandfather saw that Jamie had no hobby.
他爷爷发现他没有爱好。
He knew this was not a good way for a young boy to grow up.
他知道对一个小孩子来说这不是一个很好的成长方式。
"Why don't you have a hobby?" asked Jamie's grandfather.
“你为什么没有爱好?”杰米的爷爷问道。
"Is there nothing you would have fun doing?"
“没什么事情是你感兴趣的吗?”
Jamie thought about it for a while.
吉米想了一会儿。
He had always wanted to go fishing, but had no one to teach him.
他想去钓鱼,但是没人教他。
"Yes, Grandpa," said Jamie. "I would love to learn how to fish.

There is a river near here, and I see many people fishing there on my way to school.

Will you teach me how to fish?

His grandfather was happy.

He smiled at his grandson and said, "Of course!

I would love to teach you how to fish.

When I get home, I will send for a fishing rod for you.

I will send for some hooks too.

When I come for my next visit, you and I will go fishing.
