用：此惯语有以下两种用法：
当做错事或无法实现一些事情时使用
意：真糟糕！真不运气！真倒霉！
例. A: John, I'm afraid I broke the plate.
约翰，抱歉我打碎了那个碟子。
B：Oh，that's too bad!
噢，那真糟糕！
A: We don't play that kind of music any more.
我们不再演奏那种曲子了。
B: That's too bad. David said you were terrific.

②指事已如此，无法挽救，后面接thac从甸或of短语
意：很遗憾，可也没办法；真遗憾(-I'm sorry)

用：用来回答“How are you?”这类询问身体状况问候话的短语。
