The speaker spent several days polishing her lecture.
演讲者花了几天时间润饰她的演讲稿。

注：adorn 的意思是“修饰，装饰，打扮”不能用于文章、作品的“润色”。polish 的意思是“擦亮（机器），抛光（器具），使......优美，使（语言、文字）洗练，润饰(文章，作品)。
