Shutting down a mountain of spring, too shy to speak,

Gaotang Road: the road that led to Gaotang, which was an itinerary palace of Chu (one of the Warring States during the Eastern Zhou period [770-256 B.C.]) for kings and princes where, according to ancient fairy tales, King of Chu Huai and King of Chu Xiang both had their rendezvous (in erotic dreams) with Goddess of Wushan. the allusion here suggests a love dream cut short.
