Autumn
《秋天》
Shaking down the dew of early morning,
震落了清晨满披着的露珠，
A clinking, lumbering sound drifts beyond the deep ravine.
伐木声丁丁地飘出幽谷。
The scythe, sated with scented rice, is laid down;
放下饱食过稻香的镰刀，
Shoulder baskets hold plump melons and fruits from the hedges.
用背篓来装竹篱间肥硕的瓜果。
Autumn is resting in a farmer's home.
秋天栖息在农家里。
A round net is cast into the river of cold mistA round net is cast into the river of cold mist
向江面的冷雾撒下圆圆的网，
And collects the shadows of dark cypress leaves, like blue
收起青鳊鱼似的乌桕叶的影子。
Hoary frost on the tips of the reeds,
芦篷上满载着白霜，
While homeward oars dip and pull.
轻轻摇着归泊的小桨。
Autumn is playing in the fishing boat.
秋天游戏在渔船上。
The grassy field seems wider when the crickets chirp;
草野在蟋蟀声中更寥阔了。
The steam looks clearer when it dries up.
溪水因枯涸见石更清洌了。
Where did the bamboo flute on the ox's back go,
牛背上的笛声何处去了，
Its holes overflowing with summery scent and warmth?
那满流着夏夜的香与热的笛孔？
Autumn is dreaming in the shepherdess's eyes.
秋天梦寐在牧羊女的眼里。
