So first,a little about the history of the RSPoA.This is a British charity that was established over 80 years ago.
首先简单介绍意外防制协会的历史背景。这是一个英国的慈善机构，成立超过80 年。
It provides information and training on safety in all areas of life-at work,in the home,on the roads,at leisure time,in schools,and on or near water.
协会提供生活各方面的安全咨询和训练—包括工作、家庭、道路、休闲、学校、水上及水滨活动等各方面。
It also provides information on dangerous or badly designed products that may cause accidents.
同时对于设计不良或可能造成意外的危险商品，协会也会提供相关咨询。
Accidents in the UK,although often not serious,are still very common and cost the country huge amounts in lost time and money.
英国的意外事件虽然通常并不严重，但是仍然十分常见，而且造成了国家金钱与时间的巨大损失。
Last year,for example,there were nearly 29 million working days lost due to accidents and ill health,and more seriously,about 350 deaths because of accidents at work.
以去年为例，由于意外和生病，造成了将近2 千9 百万个工作天的损失，更严重的是，由于工作中发生的意外，导致约350 人死亡。
In addition,because of accidents in the home,over 4,000 people died and nearly three million had to go to A&E departments in hospitals.
