It was a very hot day. A big black bird called a crown wanted to have a drink of water.
那天天气炎热。一个名叫皇冠的大黑鸟想喝水。
The crown flew to a tree and he looked down.
皇冠飞到了一棵树上，他往下看。
“Where is some water?” He said, “where can I find the drink?” Then he saw a pot.
他说，哪里有水？我在哪里能够发现水，他看见了一个器皿。
The crown flew down from the tree to have a good look at the pot. Yes, there was some water inside it.
皇冠从树上飞下来往下看，他把这个器皿仔细看了看。是的，里面有些水。
“Now I can have a drink,” said the crown, “that’s good.”
皇冠说，我现在可以喝水了，太棒了。
But the crown was a big bird, his head was too big to get inside the pot.
但是，皇冠是一只大鸟，他的头太大了，进不去。
“I do want drink,” he said, “but I can’t put my beak in the water.”
他说，我想喝水，但是我的嘴进不去。
The crown had to walk away without the drink, then he saw some stones. He stopped and looked at the stonesfor a long time.
皇冠不得不离开器皿，他看见了许多石头。他停下来，看着这些石头，他看了很长时间。
Then he said, “I can see a way to get the drink.” The crown was a very clever bird.
之后他说，我知道怎么喝水了。皇冠非常聪明。
The crown walked back to the pot with a stone and his beak. He put the stone in the pot. “Plop!” This made the water in the pot come up a little way.
皇冠嘴里叼着一颗石子回到了器皿处，他把石子放进了器皿中，噗通，水从器皿中喷出来了。
The crown put some more stones into the pot one by one. “Plop! Plop! Plop!” The water came up inside thepot little by little.
皇冠又把更多的石子放进了器皿中。噗通，噗通，噗通，水位越来越高了。
And then the clever clown had drink of water.
聪明的皇冠喝到了水。
