【辨】violent, severe, extreme, radical四个词都有“激烈的，激进的”之意。violent指“激烈的，猛烈的”，强调情感或力量上的强大；severe表“激烈的，残酷的”，较严肃；extreme表思想或行为极端的，超出正常标准；radical则强调违背了常规的极端或是激进．也有“激进分子”的意思。
