My name is Ian Hamlinton and I come from South Africa.

I studied architecture in South Africa.

But when I came to China, I was actually working for a travel company as a tour leader.

That was in 2001.

I had worked as a tour leader in lots of different countries.

I was meant to be in China for nine months and then leave.

But from the first day I was here, I just loved China and everyone I met, so I never did leave.

At some point, I said I'll wait until the first day I'm unhappy and then I'll leave.

But that day hasn't happened yet, so thank you to, yeah, everybody in China.

At the moment I live in Guangxi, Guilin, Yangshuo.

My name is Brian linden and I come from Chicago.

And my first time in China, I came in 1984 and spent more or less four years.

And China had such an impact on my life at that time that in 2004, my wife and I decided to give up our jobs in the States and sold all our property, our house and brought our children here.

And the goal was really to add a new voice, a narrative to the story of China.

I had traveled to almost 110 countries and I felt that very few of them had any understanding of China.

And I felt that somehow, I felt that was part of my role, I loved China.

And I wanted to add a voice and share the experiences of real China that we both feel every day.

Yes, and kind of show the world, show the world that there is this incredible part of China that they have no idea about.
