Heartbreak tonight in Casey South Carolina. It is with extremely heavy hearts that we were announcing that we have found a body that the coroner has identified as Faye Swetlik. Authorities confirming a family's worst fears, finding six-year-old Faye Swetlik's body in her own neighborhood. We are now treating this case as a homicide. Faye's body not the only one recovered. In the same neighborhood police found an unidentified man whose connection to the case remains unknown. At this time we feel there is no danger to the community.
This video released by police shows one of the last times Faye was seen alive. Getting off her school bus. Authorities say a 3:45 Monday afternoon Faye's mother spotted her playing in the yard. By 5:00 p.m. She called 911, telling Police her daughter was missing. Within 24 hours more than 200 officers combed the area including the FBI. Earlier today before the grim announcement authorities said the family was cooperating and asked the public for help identifying the occupants of this sedan. Everybody's tight-knit, you know, who belongs, who doesn't belong. So this is just very shocking. Tonight with no arrests or suspects named. A community mourns the little girl with a big smile.
