A pilot has died after his helicopter crashed on top of a skyscraper in the heart of New York City. Emergency officials say the chopper made an emergency crash-landing on the roof of a building in midtown Manhattan. The pilot was the only person onboard. And New York police have now closed off a large area around the scene — including Times Square.
Traffic on one of Melbourne's busiest freeways has been badly affected following a crash that's left a teenager fighting for her life. Emergency crews had to cut four people from the wreckage on the Monash Freeway at Mulgrave around midnight. A teenage girl in the back seat suffered life-threatening injuries. All inbound lanes and two of the outbound lanes are now closed.
