Congress could begin voting on Thursday on a new sweeping 1.3 trillion dollar budget. It substantially boosts military and domestic spending, but includes no deal on immigrant "dreamers".
The big northeast snowstorm dropped snow on New England on Wednesday night and early Thursday. The storm left more than a foot of snow in the areas of Pennsylvania, but less in the big east coast cities.
