British Prime Minister Theresa May has met with King Salman of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh where the two leaders held talks over their Kingdom led war in Yemen. May is expected to talk the Saudi King into allowing humanitarian aid through Yemen's port of Hodeida. A UN charter date vessel docked at Hodeida on Tuesday but the port has been shut down by the Saudi government.
The Saudi-led coalition began its war in Yemen in March 2015 on behalf of Yemen's internationally recognized government against the Shiite rebels. The war has pushed the Arab world's poorest country to the brink of famine. Prime Minister May faced increasing calls to stop British arms sales to Saudi Arabia amid the conflict.
