Night One.
第一夜。
My life is perfect.
我的生活是完美的。
I have a bowl full of seeds,
我有满满一碗种子，
a cozy pile of wood shavings,
一堆舒服的刨花，
and room to run.
还有奔跑的空间。
I’m never leaving here.
我永远不会离开这里。
Question: Who’s the luckiest hamster in the world?
提问：谁是世界上最幸运的仓鼠？
Answer: ME!
回答：是我！
Night Two.
第二夜。
I was just telling myself, “Seymour, you’ve got it made,” when my exercise wheel was delivered.
我正对自己说“西摩，你成功了”，就在这时我的跑步轮就送来了。
(I like to work out.)
（我喜欢锻炼。）
It’s the best model around, the FuzzyBoy 360,
这是市面上最好的型号：毛绒小子360，
shiny as a new dime and fast as lightning.

I don’t know how many miles I put in, but I was on that wheel all night!

Night Three.

It took me a while to get the hang of my new water bottle, but it’s great.

It’s important, too.

A hamster has to stay hydrated.

Back to my wheel; I’ve got another hour to put in before daylight!

Night Four.

Little Girl came by and gave me a kiss on the nose.

Nasty.

Hello? Ever hear of germs?

But she also gave me two yogurt drops.
但是她也给了我两颗酸奶豆零食。
Question: What’s better than a yogurt drop?

Answer: TWO yogurt drops!

I ate one and tucked the other in my cheek to save for later.
我吃了一颗，把另一颗塞进腮帮子里，留着以后吃。
This hamster has it going on.

Night Five
第五夜
I was just climbing onto my wheel tonight when Pearl the Cat came by.
我刚爬上轮子，小猫珍珠就来了。
“You know,” she said, “you run for miles every night, but you never leave that cage.
“你知道吗，”她说，“你每晚都跑好几英里，但你从未离开过这个笼子。
What’s it all for?”
这都是为了什么呢？”
“I don’t know,” I said.

“It’s what hamsters do.”

“What a complete waste of time,” she said.

“Have fun in your cage.

I’m going to the sunroom.”

Sunroom? What’s a sunroom?

Night Six
第六夜
Little Girl woke me up to clean my cage today.
今天小女孩打扫笼子时把我吵醒了。
She kissed me on the nose again.
她又亲了我的鼻子。
Barf!
呕！
She needs to knock that off.
她需要停止这样做。
But while she was carrying me around,
但是当她抱着我四处走动时，
I realized there’s a lot of house around me that I haven’t seen.
我意识到这房子的很多地方我都没见过。
It seems to go on forever!
房子似乎没有尽头！
I tried as hard as I could, but I couldn’t see a sunroom.

Little Girl gave me a yogurt drop, and I completely forgot about the sunroom.

Whatever a sunroom is, is it better than a yogurt drop?

Answer: NO!
回答：不能！
Night Seven
第七夜
I planned on running a marathon tonight, but my FuzzyBoy 360 is a little squeaky.
我本打算今晚跑一场马拉松，但是我的轮子有点吱嘎作响。
Pearl came over to the cage looking a little annoyed.
珍珠来到笼子前，看起来有点生气。
“You really need to get yourself out of there,” she said.
“你真的需要让自己离开笼子。”她说。
“But why?” I asked.
“但是为什么呢？”我问，
“I’ve got my wheel, I’ve got my seeds, I’ve got yogurt drops…”
“我有轮子，有种子，有酸奶豆……”
“You wouldn’t need a wheel out here,” she said.
“你在外面不需要轮子，”她说，
“There’s plenty of room to run.
“外面有很多地方让你跑。
The staircase is made of sunflower seeds.
楼梯是用葵花籽做的。
And the sunroom is filled with yogurt drops.”
而且阳光房里堆满了酸奶豆。”
As she was walking away she turned around and said, “Watch out for Hoover.”
当她走开时，她转过身来说：“小心胡佛。”
Hoover? Who’s Hoover?
胡佛？胡佛是谁？
Night Eight
第八夜
I didn’t sleep a wink all day.
我一整天都没有合眼。
Little Girl came by and kissed me on the nose --YUCK!
小女孩走过来，亲了我的鼻子-- 呸！
And then I had a terrible workout.
然后我进行了一次糟糕的锻炼。
I just couldn’t focus.
我就是无法集中注意力。
How could I concentrate knowing what I know?
知道了我所知道的事情，我怎么能集中精力呢？
Imagine...a whole staircase made of sunflower seeds!
想象一下……整个楼梯都是用葵花籽做的！
And the sunroom?
还有阳光房？
Don’t I deserve to be in the sunroom?
难道我不配待在阳光房里吗？
Buck the Dog came by to give my cage a sniff, and I said,
大狗巴克走过来嗅了嗅我的笼子，我说：
“Buck, do you like the sunroom?”
“巴克，你喜欢阳光房吗？”
Big, goofy Buck said, “I love the sunroom.
又大又笨的巴克说：“我喜欢日光房，
It’s so… sunny.”
房子里……有很多阳光。”
And he trotted away.
然后他小跑着离开了。
Night Nine
第九夜
No workout tonight.
今晚我没有锻炼。
I spent the whole evening putting together a plan.
我花了整个晚上来制定一个计划。
I went over every square inch of my cage,
我仔细检查了笼子的每一寸地方，
and I think I’ve got it figured out.
我想我已经弄明白了。
Operation Tasty Treat is set for tomorrow night.
