I suppose I did nothing else for two or three Hours,till the Fit wearing off,I fell asleep,and did not wake till far in the Night;[qh]
这样连续喊了两三小时，寒热渐退，我才昏昏睡去，直到半夜才醒来。[qh]
when I waked,I found my self much refreshed,but weak,and exceeding thirsty:[qh]
醒来后，觉得身子爽快了不少，但仍软弱无力，且口里渴得要命。[qh]
However,as I had no Water bin my whole Habitation,I was forced to lie till Morning,and went to sleep again:[qh]
可是家里没有水，只得躺下等第二天早晨再说。[qh]
In this second Sleep,I had this terrible Dream.[qh]
于是，我又睡着了。这一次，我做了一个恶梦。[qh]
I thought,that I was sitting on the Ground on the Outside of my Wall,where I sat when the Storm blew after the Earthquake,[qh]
我梦见我坐在围墙外面的地上，就是地震后刮暴风雨时我坐的地方，[qh]
and that I saw a Man descend from a great black Cloud,in a bright Flame of Fire,and light upon the Ground:[qh]
看见一个人从一大片乌云中从天而降，四周一片火光。[qh]
He was all over as bright as a Flame,so that I could but just bear to look towards him;[qh]
他降落到地上，全身像火一样闪闪发光，使我无法正眼看他。[qh]
his Countenance was most inexpressibly dreadful,impossible for Words to describe;[qh]
他面目狰狞可怖，非言语所能形容。[qh]
when he stepped upon the Ground with his Feet,I thought the Earth trembled,just as it had done before in the Earthquake,[qh]
当他两脚落到地面上时，我仿佛觉得大地都震动了，就像地震发生时一样。[qh]
and all the Air looked,to my Apprehension,as if it had been filled with Flashes of Fire.[qh]
更使我惊恐的是，他全身似乎在燃烧，空中火光熠熠。[qh]
He was no sooner landed upon the Earth,but he moved forward towards me,with a long Spear or Weapon in his Hand,to kill me;[qh]
他一着地，就向我走来，手里拿着一根长矛样的武器，似乎要来杀我。[qh]
and when he came to a rising Ground,at some Distance,he spoke to me,or I heard a Voice so terrible,[qh]
当他走到离我不远的高坡上时，便对我讲话了，那声音真可怕得难以形容。[qh]
that it is impossible to express the Terror of it;all that I can say,I understood,was this,[qh]
他对我说的话，我只听懂了一句：[qh]
Seeing all these Things have not brought thee to Repentance,nom thou shalt die:[qh]
"既然所发生的一切事情都不能使你忏悔，现在就要你的命。"[qh]
At which Words,I thought he lifted up the Spear that was in his Hand,to kill me.[qh]
说着，他就举起手中的矛来杀我。[qh]
