Charging documents say DePape stated he wanted to hold her hostage and get her to tell him the truth about lies told by the Democratic Party.

After DePape was restrained by police, who arrived minutes after Mr. Pelosi was attacked, they found a roll of tape, white rope, a second hammer, a pair of rubber gloves and zip ties.
