It all began with a TikTok by Evan Kail.

Kail says he sees quite a bit of historical paraphernalia.

So when a customer reached out about sending an old photo album he wanted Kail to sell, he says he didn't think much of it until Monday when it arrived.

The scrapbook of sorts, from an American named Leslie Allen, featured snaps from Southeast Asia and Asia, from the mundane to the horrific.

Kail says he is still working on verifying whether these photographs are original.

But his TikTok, now having gone viral, has brought people into the store, simply wanting to look at possibly the only photographs of violence from that time.

"We've been told that we have this period -- we were weak at the time -- this is my first time looking at photos.
