今天的 Buzzword Slut-shaming 虽然由来已久，却也是近来蔓延最快的网络霸凌之一。

我们之前听过 body shaming，fat shaming, weight shaming（对别人的身材和样貌妄加评论）, food shaming (对别人的食物选择指手画脚)等等，知道了 shaming 别人，基本上就是一副“指手画脚，颐指气使”羞辱人的样子。

爱看美剧的小伙伴们都知道，Slut 是骂人的脏话，很脏的那种，it is generally a term for a person, especially a woman or girl, who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous，也就是经常被打上“不正经”标签的“坏女孩”。

到底什么是Slut-shaming？

It is the practice of criticizing people, especially girls and women, who are perceived to violate expectations of behavior and appearance regarding issues related to sexuality.

Slut-shaming 它攻击和批判的对象是“行为举止”或者“穿着打扮”上违背了所谓传统世俗或者大众期望的女性。

比如，大家一定不陌生的碎碎念：小小年纪不学好，涂什么口红；爱打扮化妆的都不是什么好女孩；好女孩就应该朴素勤奋；

到了社会上或者公司，性感妖艳的女人也总免不了被人在背后说成是狐狸精。

“荡妇羞辱”不仅针对女性，有时候也会被施加在男同志身上，不过，却鲜少发生异性恋男性身上。

It may also be used in reference to gay men, who may face disapproval for sexual behaviors considered promiscuous, but it rarely happens to heterosexual men.

Slut-shaming发生的情况

Examples of slut-shaming might include：

“荡妇羞辱”具体在什么样的情况下会发生呢？

being criticized or punished for dressing in perceived sexually provocative ways, 被人认为穿着打扮过于性感挑逗；

it happens when women have casual，premarital, or promiscuous sex, 也可以是在女性有婚前/随意性行为或者有多个伴侣的时候；

even when women are being victim blamed for being raped, or otherwise, sexually assaulted, 甚至在性侵案件中，那些所谓“不完美受害者”的女性遭遇的“受害者谴责”和“受害者有罪论”都是Slut-shaming 的表现形式。

常听到的“有苍蝇不叮无缝的蛋”潜台词是，你受害者女性也不是什么“好蛋”，所以活该被侵犯；可事实上，苍蝇这种祸祸人间的害虫就没有不叮的东西，才是应该被谴责的。

Slut-shaming involves criticizing women for their transgression of accepted codes of sexual conduct, 不管是什么形式的“荡妇羞辱”都是对女性违背“社会既定的性行为准则”的批判。

i.e. admonishing them for behavior, attire or desires that are more sexual than society finds acceptable. 也就是说，因为社会接受不了行为举止，穿着打扮这样，所以你该收到谴责。

Slut-shaming的发起者

其实，施加“荡妇羞辱”的不止男性，还有女性。

The action of slut-shaming can be considered to be a form of social punishment, 在社会公众特别是舆论领域，对其进行惩罚。

And it's an aspect of sexism, 是属于性别歧视的一部分， as well as female intrasexual competition, 也有点像中文里的“雌竞”。

Slut-shaming functions among girls and women as a way of sublimating sexual jealousy "into a socially acceptable form of social critique of girls' or women's sexual expression."

这其中的“柠檬精”心态不难理解吧，因为别人长的漂亮，别人散发着魅力，别人约会不断...因为嫉妒，所以对其施加 “slut-shame”，站在道德的制高点羞辱别人，以求一个心理平衡。

其实，一个人可以支持“性开放”也好，支持“性保守”也罢，这不是问题的关键，双标以及用自己的标准去指责别人，才是问题所在。

SlutWalk 游行

近些年来，有些国家就有自发组织的 SlutWalk 游行，反对的就是性侵强奸案件中的Slut-shaming.

It is a transnational movement calling for an end to rape culture, including victim blaming and slut shaming of sexual assault victims.

Specifically, participants protest against explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman's appearance.
