声音简介：听完姆爷的这首歌，仿佛看完了一部电影

今天跟你们分享一首Eminem姆哥和Dido合作的经典歌，STAN。

我听说唱还比较少，最开始是听Dido的Thank You这首歌，

后来发现STAN里面用到了这首Thank You，

这一组合还很魔性，讲述了一个有点惊悚的故事。

今天我们来聊聊这两首歌~

The first song is Thank You. British singer Dido wrote the song as a tribute to her boyfriend at that time Bob Page. They got engaged in 2001, but broke up a year later.

Thank You是一首很温暖的歌，是Dido在1999年写给当时的男友Bob Page的。

歌词写的是她遭遇了各种糟糕的情况，

比如drank too much last night, got bills to pay,

missed the bus, be late for work again,

昨晚喝太多酒，醒来发现还有账单要还，错过了公交，上班又迟到，还是个灰蒙蒙的雨天。

But your picture on my wall

It reminds me that it's not so bad

It's not so bad

但看到挂在我墙上你的照片，提醒了我，事情也还没有那么糟糕。

Because you're near me

And I want to thank you

For giving me the best day of my life

Oh, just to be with you

Is having the best day of my life

想要谢谢你在我身边，这就已经给了我最美好的一天。

虽然很遗憾写完歌的第三年他们订婚然后第四年又分手了。

而这首歌真正火起来是在2000年，因为Eminem把Thank You放进了他的新歌Stan.

Eminem didn’t ask permission to use Thank You on "Stan" until after the song was produced.

Dido loved it after hearing the song and agreed to let him use it.

She received a letter saying

"We heard your track. We love it. We'd like to use it for this track Stan. Can you take a listen? I hope you like it and can we use your song?”

Dido当时收到了Eminem写的一封信，

上面写着“我们很喜欢你的Thank You这首歌，

把它放进了Stan里面，你能听听吗？希望你能喜欢。我们能用你的歌吗？”

这也是先斩后奏的节奏呀，不过Dido是Eminem的粉丝，

听完以后觉得非常喜欢，很快就答应了。

而Thank You在Stan里面是作为雨中的背景音乐出现的，很复古的感觉。

但氛围完全变了，

因为Stan讲的是关于Eminem的一个叫Stan的狂热粉丝为了他自杀的故事。

This song tells the story of a fan obsessed with Eminem.

When his letters are not answered, he puts his pregnant girlfriend in his trunk and drives off a bridge. Both of them died in the accident.

The song ends with Eminem answering his letter and realizing Stan was the man in the news who drove off the bridge.

歌词的前三部分是粉丝Stan写给Eminem的信，

说自己写了几封信都没收到Eminem的回复。

而之前他们是有过约定的，Eminem答应过Stan一定会见他，

结果开演唱会的时候人太多，

没有注意到在寒风中抱着六岁的弟弟等了四小时的Stan。

一气之下Stan就效仿Eminem在My Name Is这首歌里写的

I drank a fifth of vodka, dare me to drive?

喝了五分之一的伏特加，

还在高速路开到了90迈。

甚至把怀着孕的女朋友绑进了后车厢，想一起开车进河里同归于尽。

尽管后来他边录着这些要说给Eminem听的话，边反应过来：

Well gotta go I'm almost at the bridge now

Oh shit I forgot how am I supposed to send this shit out.

“我们就快开到桥边了，可我怎么把这段录音发给你呢？”

等他反应过来，他们已经坠河了。

而最后一部分是Eminem给Stan的回信：

I really think you and your girlfriend need each other

or maybe you just need to treat her better

你和你的女朋友才更需要彼此，你或许该对她好一点。

I hope you get to read this letter I just hope it reaches you in time

before you hurt yourself I think that you'll be doin just fine

我喜欢你能读到这封信，但愿它能赶在你伤害自己前寄到。

I seen this one shit on the news a couple weeks ago that made me sick

Some dude was drunk and drove his car over a bridge

and had his girlfriend in the trunk and she was pregnant with his kid

and in the car they found a tape but they didn't say who it was to

Come to think about his name was it was you

Damn!

两周前的一个新闻让我感到不安：

一个家伙开车冲到了桥下

后备箱里是他怀孕的女友

在车上还找到了一盒磁带可他们没说磁带是给谁的……

想想看，他的名字……就是你，Stan

也就是等Eminem想起来回信给这个狂热粉丝Stan，

已经是看到他坠亡的新闻之后了。

In 2017, the Oxford American Dictionary added the word "stan," defined as "An overzealous [?o?v?r?zel?s] or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity."

在2017年牛津字典还因为这首歌大火，把Stan收录进了词典，

形容过于狂热的粉丝。

可以做名词，比如He's a total stan for Eminem.

也可以做动词，比如When I was a teenager, I stanned Justin Bieber.

至于歌里的故事是否是真实的或者由真实故事改编的，众说纷纭。

Eminem是想用这首歌告诫粉丝，理智追星，好好活着。
