To “buckle down” means to get serious about a task or problem.
“buckle down”意思是认真准备某项任务或者认真解决某个问题。
When you “buckle down” you commit yourself to working hard.
当你“倾尽全力做某事”，你把自己全身心投入到工作中。
In our example,Jonathan says he needs to buckle down and learn the songs for his upcoming show.
在我们的例子中，乔纳森说他需要全力准备，为他即将到来的演出学习唱歌。
