This is Everyday Grammar. I'm Kaveh.
欢迎收看《每日语法》栏目,我是卡维。
And I'm Lucija. Kaveh, when you see the following sentence, tell me what comes to mind?
我是露西佳。卡维,看到下面这个句子时,你脑子里想到的是什么?
Tim's dog is cuter than Jim's dog.
提姆家的狗比吉姆家的可爱。
Well, I would say that Tim's dog is cuter.
噢,我会说提姆家的狗更可爱。
But, because we're talking about grammar here, I think that's a great example of a comparative sentence.
但是,因为我们节目讲的是语法,我想一个很棒的关于比较句的例子。
Exactly! When you need to compare two things, you can use comparative adjectives.
没错!当你需要对比两个事物时,使用形容词比较级,
You generally add the suffix "-er" to an adjective to show the difference between two things.
通常是在形容词后+er构成比较级,用以表示两物之间的差异。
His shirt is softer than her shirt.
他的衬衫比她的短。
This only works for adjectives that have one or two syllables. I wouldn't be able to say:
这只适用于形容词音节为一个或两个的情况,我不会说:
My car is expensiver than your car.
My car is expensiver than your car.(错误用法!)
In that case, what do you do?
在这种情况下,你怎么做?
You just add the adjective "more" before the object of comparison. It would read as:
你只需要在比较客体前的形容词前加上more,读起来就是:
My car is more expensive than your car.
我的车比你的车贵。
Now, let's do some quick exercises. How would you compare Shannon and Greg using the adjective happy?
接下来,让我们快速做些练习,用形容词happy来比较Shannon和Greg,你会怎么用?
Shannon is happier than Greg.
夏侬比格雷格开心。
Great! What about beautiful and two paintings?
太棒了!那用beautiful比较两幅画呢?
Easy! This painting is more beautiful than the other painting!
简单!这幅画比那幅画漂亮。
When it comes to comparatives, just remember this sentence pattern:
遇到比较级时,只要记住下面这个句子结构就行:
Noun (the subject) followed by verb plus comparative adjective plus than plus noun (the second object).
名词(主语)+动词+形容词比较级+than+名词(第二宾语)
And that's Everyday Grammar.
