One of our trends for 2016 is the statement ring.

Make a big statement on a cake with a wreath of flowers, or in this case, eggs.

We're gonna be making a speckled egg cake using this silicone mold.
我们要用这个硅胶模具制作有斑点的鸡蛋糖果蛋糕。
The great thing about this mold is that it can go in the fridge

or the freezer to make candy or ice, or you can put it in the oven and bake with it.

We're going to begin by coloring some white candy melts using Wilton's Candy Color.
我们首先要用惠尔通糖果酱对白色的糖果酱染色。
The reason we're doing this is because the color is so bold, it will give us a nice pastel effect.
我们这么做是因为这个颜色很亮，做出来的效果很鲜艳。
Once all your candy is colored go ahead and put it in a piping bag.

We're gonna go ahead and fill up our molds.
接着把模具填满。
Go ahead and repeat that step to color some candy melts pastel in orange, pink, yellow, violet and blue.
接着重复该步骤，把糖果酱染成橘色、粉色、黄色、紫色和蓝色的。
For this cake we're gonna need four eggs of each color.
为了制作这款蛋糕，每种颜色我们需要四个鸡蛋。
Once all the cavities are full go ahead and give it a nice little tap.

This evens out the candy and it gets rid of any air bubbles.

Once your candy is done go ahead and un-mold your eggs.

That's the great thing about this silicone mold,

it's so flexible, it makes this next step super easy.

To give our eggs that really beautiful speckled look

we're gonna combine brown color dust with a little bit of lemon extract.

And next, take your decorating brush,

hold it over the eggs and we're gonna pull the bristles back to speckle the eggs.

Next, we're ready to place our eggs on the cake.

I have a 10 inch cake here that I spatula iced with buttercream,

we're gonna take our eggs and we're gonna place them around the top of our cake in a ring.

Once you're done placing all the eggs on your cake

go ahead and set your cake aside

because we're gonna prepare our decorating bags to pipe some flowers around those eggs.

To give our colors a really beautiful effect we're gonna stripe our bag.

So, to do that I colored some icing pink and yellow.

I'm gonna take a little bit of the icing

and I'm gonna stripe it on the edge of my bag.

Do the same exact thing with the yellow.

Don't get too concerned if, when you're striping the bag,

the two colors mix, that's exactly what we're doing.

Once your bags are striped go ahead and fill it with some white icing.

So, go ahead and repeat that step with three more bags.

We're looking for the color combinations of purple and blue, blue and yellow and purple andorange.

Go ahead and pipe a mixture of drop flowers and swirl drop flowers around your eggs.

For that I'm gonna use a tip 2D.

To finish off your cake go ahead and take a decorating bag prepared with a tip 67

and green buttercream and pipe some leaves around your flowers.

This cake is perfect for Easter or spring.
